Membership Charter

Preamble


This charter defines the rules for membership, ethics, and the use of scientific content after joining the scientific website of the Tunisian Association of Private Practice Psychiatrists (ATPEP).

All members of ATPEP and the website agree to respect these principles in the interest of the profession, the scientific quality of exchanges, the protection of patient data, and copyright.

Article 1 — Membership Conditions

  1. Membership in ATPEP is strictly reserved for psychiatrists and residents in psychiatry or child and adolescent psychiatry.

  2. All membership requests must be formally submitted by the applicant using the designated form.

  3. The request is subject to evaluation by an Acceptance Committee, which decides on approval or refusal of membership.

  4. The applicant must provide:

    • A valid national ID card or passport

    • A professional medical card proving the title of psychiatrist

    • A work certificate for residents in psychiatry

  5. Membership becomes effective only after validation by the Committee and payment of any fees set by the association.

Article 2 — Confidentiality, Professional Secrecy, and Medical Ethics

  1. Members commit to strictly respecting medical confidentiality as defined by Tunisian medical ethics and international standards.

  2. Clinical cases presented during staff meetings, scientific meetings, EPU sessions, trainings, or working groups organized or shared via the ATPEP website are intended exclusively for medical education.

  3. It is strictly forbidden to distribute, share, copy, record, or communicate any scientific content, clinical case, or information that could directly or indirectly identify a patient, outside the context of the relevant staff or scientific activity.

  4. Members commit to behaving ethically, respectfully, and professionally in all internal and external interactions related to the association.

  5. Any violation may engage the legal responsibility of the offender.

Article 3 — Protection and Use of Scientific Content

  1. All scientific content shared on the website, platform, social media, or any other official ATPEP support is strictly reserved for members registered on the site via the digital member area.

  2. It is forbidden to redistribute in any form (copies, screenshots, recordings, external publications, messaging apps, social media, etc.) any document, presentation, video, discussion, material, or scientific content originating from ATPEP or its organized events.

  3. Any external use requires prior written approval from the ATPEP Executive Board and the content author when it concerns personal material, in accordance with copyright and personal data laws.

Article 4 — Member Commitment

  1. The member declares having read and accepted all operating rules of ATPEP and its website.

  2. The member acknowledges that any violation of the charter may result in:

    • Permanent exclusion from the association, depending on the severity of the infraction

    • Legal consequences engaging the responsibility of the offender in case of ethical or legal issues with the relevant authorities (e.g., Medical Council disciplinary bodies)

Article 5 - Entry into Force
This charter takes effect upon its adoption by ATPEP and applies to all members upon their registration on the ATPEP website.
